Intro to Rigid Heddle Weaving (9 am-4 pm 5/18, 5/19)

The fundamentals of beginning weaving on a Schacht Cricket Rigid Heddle Loom will be explored in this introductory class. Participants will learn the basics of plain weave structure while creating a scarf using yarns from Round Mountain Fibers. By the end of this 2-day class you will have a beautiful finished scarf.

The class will incorporate the following objectives:
- Loom Basics
- Choosing the right yarn
- Dressing the loom
- Weaving
- Finished edges
- Wet setting your project

Supplied materials for use in class:
- Loom
- Warping Boards
- Shuttles
- Scissors
- Tape Measures

Class Fee: $120, paid at time of registration plus the cost of yarn
Yarn needed: 2 skeins Round Mountain fingering weight yarn. Students will receive a 10% discount for any yarn purchased.

Loom and warping board will be available for purchase at the end of the class. Class Bundle: 10% off Loom, Warping Board and Book.
